Elder Stanley Dye

Elder Stanley Dye, 60, of 214 Beechwood Circle, entered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

He was born in Greenwood County on July 21, 1965, a son the late Wiley Dye, Jr. and Essie Lee Coleman Dye.

He was a formerly employed with Cardinal Health for over 40 years until his health failed. He joined the House of Prayer in his early twenties and received the Holy Ghost shortly thereafter.  

Elder Dye was anointed Saint by Daddy McCollough and later appointed Elder in the United House of Prayer. He has been Top Class worker in the ministry for over 30 years receiving Top Worker recognition for the State of South Carolina winning souls for the Lord. He was crowned Mr. Youth of the Youth Department and loved selling food on the House of Prayer grounds. People looked forward to seeing him at every event at the House of Prayer.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Anthony Dye and Calvin Dye, and a nephew Theus D. Coleman.

Surviving are: four sisters, Deborah C. Smith of Greenwood, Lisa Dye of Aiken, SC, Beverly King (Theodore) of Greenwood and Teshanna Cunningham (Terry) of Greenwood; two uncles, Marion Coleman and Larry Coleman; two aunts, Corena Harling of Hodges, SC and Jennie Vee Faucette of Greenwood; two nephews, Cory Coleman and Zaiden Coleman reared in the home and a host of other nieces, nephews, loving church family and friends to remember and cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life for Elder Stanley Dye will be held at Noon on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at United House of Prayer For All People, 332 Mineral Street, Greenwood, SC 29646. Interment will follow in Second Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Elder Dye will lie in state from 11:00 am until Noon on Saturday at United House of Prayer for All People. Public viewing will be from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Funeral Home Chapel.

The family is at the home of his sister, 143 Valley Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
